We're super excited to host Gillian Watt's Aerial Steps Teacher Training course.
Mon 3rd - Wed 5th December 2018: 9 - 5 pm
Aerial Yoga is quickly becoming the next big thing in yoga, with Gillan's classes being sold out weeks in advance at the OM yoga show. As a teacher, the yoga hammock is one of the most creative props you'll ever use and it will take your classes to the next level.
In Aerial Steps Teacher Training, you will learn how to use the Yoga Hammock safely, creatively and how to tailor it to your style of teaching. It includes both the aerial foundations module and the restorative module.
This course is for certified yoga teachers that are looking to develop a new and rewarding career in teaching Aerial Yoga. If you are currently training to be a yoga teacher or are thinking of it, then contact Gillian because you may be able to join depending on space available.
Adapt Aerial Yoga practices to meet participants needs during a yoga session
Use an Aerial hammock to take yoga postures into the air
Plan, prepare, instruct and adapt Aerial Yoga sessions
Design a balanced Aerial Yoga class
Relate the health and safety at work act to the health and fitness environment, while using an aerial hammock
The majority of the training is in person, although there is a home study component. You will need to complete a practice journal and pass the practical assessment to receive certification.
£675 with a special rate for HYS yoga teacher trainees. If you are an HYS teacher or will be doing the HYS 200 hr Teacher Training course, then you'll qualify for this discount. Contact Gillian for more details.

This 200hr Teacher Training Program will immerse you in the knowledge and embodiment of the full spectrum that is Yoga. You will be introduced to the history of yoga with intense personal development to prepare you, the student, for the role as teacher.
The course focuses on an in-depth understanding of the anatomy and physiology of Yoga Postures, Hands-On Assisting, Sequencing and Yoga physiology and philosophy. You'll learn the foundational aspects of vinyasa yoga, hatha yoga, yin yoga, meditation, pranayama and so much more.
50hr Advanced Teacher Training - Yin Level 1

3-8th May (Bank holiday)
Fri 3th: 6-9 pm Sat 4th - Weds 8th: 7 am - 5.30 pm
This training is for qualified teachers and is 50 hrs towards post graduate training.
In this training, you will develop an ability to see and teach through multiple lenses of focused awareness, learn the archetypal poses and be able to create intelligent sequencing based on the point of focus.
Janine has studied with yin yoga creator, Paul Grilley, and has studied somatic methods with Dr Scott Lyons.
200hr Teacher Training - Module 2

Module 2 concludes the 200 hrs and includes hands-on adjustments, teaching hot yoga and lots of teaching practice. It is conducted as four weekend intensives at HYS - Edgedale and Module 1 must be completed first.
