Meaning, your information is secure with only people we trust having access to it. Furthermore, we won’t sell, trade, rent or share your information to anyone, and you can always opt out of any future emails or newsletter mailings at anytime.
To be super specific, we will never ever give your contact details to our teachers, staff or anyone else for their own benefit. Pinky swear.
Over the years, we’ve streamlined our process and now require only minimal information to create an account. Your name, email address and that you agree to the liability waiver. Everything else is optional.
Here’s what we do with the information you provide...
Your name - can you remember the Cheers theme song? Well, we wanna be the place where we’re always glad you came and where we always know your name.
Email address - this is your log-in to your account where you can book into the classes. We also use it to send you electronic receipts because we don’t have paper receipts. This way you know what you’ve bought and when. You can also chose to get more chatty emails from us, which will tell you more about updates to class schedules, upcoming workshops, teacher trainings and inspirational videos like this one. If you want to be in the know, then you'll want to check this box. And in the future, if you decide that no logner want to get these emails, then you can always opt out by clicking unsubscribe in the email.
Phone number - occasionally we will reach out to you via your phone. It might be because a class had to be cancelled unexpectedly, or that you left something important at the studio, or to ask you something about your account. It's also possible that in the future we may look into sending text reminders about classes or letting you know about things going on at the studio.
Liability waiver - there are always risks and this is just to make sure you know that it’s possible to injure yourself or even die after a yoga class. That said, it’s extremely unlikely and there are risks for everything. You're more likely to get into a car accident driving to or from the yoga class, but legally we got to cover our butts and it’s something you got to acknowledge or you can’t do the class. Sorry, that’s just the way it works.
Emergency contact - this is only for emergencies and gives us someone who we can reach out to for your safety.
Address - occasionally we send out get well or congratulations cards, or invitations to special events.
Billing information - this is to process card payments for our memberships or passes. We don’t store or even have access to your full details and can only put through payments with your consent. Note that if you take up a monthly membership, then this counts as your consent to monthly payments.
Mindbody will automatically deactivate your account if you haven’t attended or purchased anything in two years. If you want to be removed earlier, then you can ask to be removed at anytime and we’ll deactivate your account.
You always have access to the information we hold on you and can make changes at anytime by logging into My Account.
You can unsubscribe from the emails at anytime sent through Constant Contact about the classes and workshops using the link at the bottom of every email.
And if you have any questions or concerns, then please don’t hesitate to contact us.
If the legal ownership of the business changes, the your information may be transferred to the new owners or businesses so that they may continue to provide you with the services you have signed up for.
