At Hot Yoga Sheffield, we have amazing people.

Our teachers.

Our yoga teachers live and breathe yoga. They are yoga geeks. Highly trained, often with multiple certifications. They have esoteric knowledge about the sutras and the psoas and practical knowledge of neti pots and liver cleanses. They also adore green smoothies, local cafes and dark chocolate.

Our staff.

Our staff are super friendly yoga converts. They are highly organised and have in-depth knowledge of Mindbody, so if you have any questions regarding your accounts, then they are the ones to ask.

Our karma yogis.

Our karma yogis are selfless servants of the HYS community. They keep the studio in tip top shape. They wash mats, sterilise blocks, scrub showers, mop floors, fold towels and juice juices. Send them lots of love and prayers of gratitude.

When I was going through a difficult time living in Thailand in 2014, I was completely disconnected to my body and a yoga teacher friend invited me to her class.  After class, I knew that yoga was the only way to heal.
Yoga is a way of life, the physical side is a small part of it, to me it's what we do off the mat and how we live our lives and interact with all beings. It is compassion, acceptance, understanding and love to self and others.
I teach because I want to bring a safe space for people to heal, get to know their bodies, themselves and just be.
I want to help bring stillness to busy minds.  My classes can vary from being strong, powerful and fun, to slow and shanti.
Studio Director and Yoga Teacher
My interests in moving meditation practices began with Tai-Chi at 19. Since then, I’ve immersed myself in the study of self-realisation and yoga as a way to heal myself mentally and physically. These practices have made a remarkable difference in my life, and the experience continues to help me grow each day.

Growing up with a fast-paced, constant-driving, coffee-drinking, standard New York diet and lifestyle kept me frazzled and depressed. Finding the discipline of yoga was the perfect calling to bring energizing activity, compassionate thinking, and spiritual vitality back to my life.

In 2011, I completed my Hot Yoga training at Yoga Oasis, N.Y., moved to Sheffield with new goals and challenges, and began manifesting my ideal of studying with Sri Dharma Mittra.
Now, I am grateful to have completed the 500hr Life of a Yogi training with him and the skilled teachers at the Dharma Yoga Center.  This training solidified my understanding of the practice, and continues to be the foundation on which I live my life.
Every day, I continue to pursue my interests in yogic philosophy, nutritional vegan eating, being positively active, actively calm, and living according to the Yoga Sutras.

I’m excited to share the wisdom learned from various teachers and yoga styles to bring consciousness and gratitude everywhere.

In my previous life I was a neuroscientist. Whilst I enjoyed what I did, I was also highly stressed, anxious about keeping up, having difficulties sleeping and was wedging myself into my jeans. One morning when I was brushing my teeth, I looked in the mirror and saw a bingo wing (the soft flabby flesh of the upper arm) waving back at me. And I could see two future paths… the one that continued on if I did nothing, and the one I wanted. A couple days later I went to my first Bikram yoga class and never looked back. The excess weight melted off me within the first six weeks and even better I discovered that 90 minutes in a hot room was my panacea for the stress of academia.

In 2011, I moved to England, became a hot yoga teacher and started teaching in Sheffield. In 2012, I assisted at the Hot Yoga Doctor’s teacher training program and led the meditation component. My teaching centers around the values of alignment, acceptance and appreciation and I love to share theories and strategies for happy and healthy living from yoga, meditation, coaching and of course, science.

Over the years I’ve struggled – I’ve been angry, sad, frustrated, lonely, negative, and generally unhappy. And each time, I’ve found that yoga is the best tool to change my state and feel connected, tranquil and alive – now I’m here to help you find true peace and joy within yourself. I believe that yoga has the power to transform your life because it works on all levels – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual – changing your body, your thoughts, your emotions and your actions so that you can create the life you want.
