What is Yoga

What is Yoga?

Yoga translates from Sanskrit as ‘Union’ and it has a longstanding tradition of being any set of practices that bring about union between the body, mind and spirit.

These practices come in many forms and can be branched into different disciplines based on the main tenets set within the Eight Limbs of Yoga. The study and adherence of these practices establishes a clear path for those who choose to lead an enlightened life.

While many people come to yoga initially to treat physical or mental discomforts, many practitioners open up to the beautiful, systematic philosophy of yoga. And to follow such a philosophy is to be given a map that navigates human consciousness and creates an astounding awareness of our experience of it.

If your life in any way does not match the life you imagine for yourself, then yoga can help clear away a sense of false reality that may have been imposed on you from experiences, society, or family. Through physical and mental cleansing you can build new foundations for creating a life that you LOVE.
